OUR STORY

Saurastra, an integral part of Gujarat, is very famous for its culture and warm welcoming tradition. The year 1918 marked beginning of a new era in sweet making in Savarkundla. Shri Vanmalidas Devchand (our forefather) started a milk and penda shop and soon it became famous as Das Pendawala.

In the year 1974 we also started a shop in Bhavnagar. Today Das Pendawala has 12 stores across major cities of Gujarat such as Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Bhavnagar and Savarkundla.

The cornerstone of our success lies in the unwavering quality of our products, stemming from time-honored recipes passed down through generations. We have seamlessly integrated traditional methods with modern mechanization and automation, significantly boosting our production without compromising the integrity of our flavors.

Key to maintaining our consistently high standards is the exceptional quality of our raw materials. Milk, the fundamental ingredient for most of our sweets, is sourced from our own private collection centers in nearby villages. Here, the milk undergoes cooling and chilling processes before being rigorously tested for purity by our in-house dairy technologists in our state-of-the-art laboratory.

Our globally renowned Bhavnagari Ganthiya owes its popularity to the premium ingredients used, such as high-grade besan (gram flour), pure groundnut oil, and carefully selected spices like black pepper and asafoetida. Crafted by hand using a cherished secret recipe, our Ganthiya remains unrivaled in taste and quality.

The latest generation of our family brings a fresh perspective to our esteemed business, enriched by their diverse academic backgrounds in Mechanical Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, Business Administration, Computer Applications, and Law. Their involvement ensures the infusion of innovative ideas and cutting-edge technology, propelling our growth and continuing our legacy.
